April 21, 2000 - It's been raining all day but that didn't stop the war; David Rodigan and Mighty Crown dueled on this Good Friday at Club Amazura. This was a war that started in Connecticut a few weeks back, when Rodigan beat Mighty Crown by having Wyclef Jean (from the Fugees) present him with a dubplate with Carlos Santana and Product. This special was produced by Clef toMighty Crown annihilate Crown.

But it is Crown’s turn tonight to settle the score to a house full of fans in New York. The Japanese killing machine won the toss of the coin so they went first by kicking off with ‘Enter the Dragon’ their theme song. They started out on a high, playing some wicked dubs and took the first round.

Rodigan who came in a well dapper black suit played some excellent dubs. But it was Mighty Crown who won the second round by playing some foundation music to match with Rodigan. They even said ‘dem come ya fe kill Rodigan tonight’. And he responded by saying he is sure in Japan they don't disrespect their elders.

This was the round everyone was waiting for - the dub for dub. Mighty Crown rinsed some wicked dubs but Rodigan attacked with Prince Buster (hard man fe dead). They responded back with a Marcia Griffith that rocked the house. Rodigan played his heart out which any veteran in this business would do but couldn’t stand up to these Japanese warrior who came armed with foundation dubplates. In the end Rodigan said ‘Mighty Crown you have beat me fair and square and you have won the match.’
