Sting Intl party at the Elite Arc

Saturday March 9 was a night of star-studded events, after leaving the Beres show in Newark I made my way to Brooklyn. The venue was The Elite Arc for the Sting Intl birthday party with special invited guests Shaggy, Rayvon, Rik Roc,Redd Fox, and Shabba Ranks.

For me the main pull was Shabba, I haven’t seen Shabba in quite some time and it’s always a pleasure to see the girls dem loverman DJ. I didn’t gain entrance to the club until minutes to 3am and by the time I got in the place was jammed packed with people already dancing to the latest dancehall tunes and doing the latest dances.

DJ Roy and Davded Levy who were also at the Beres show in Jersey were the MCs for the night. The first artist they introduced to the stage was Rayvon who after being introduced rushed the stage and wasted no time in getting to his latest tunes.

He brought back some of the old time vibes by giving us some of his signature tunes and from then the bamrush of artists began.

Rick Roc, Redd Fox, Shaggy, Lady Ann and Mr. Easy all had turns at the mic some going tune for tune. At this point the stage got too crowded and the promoters called for a clearance of the stage before they proceeded with the show. DJ Roy had to ask for the people to free up some space on the floor so that he could make his way to the stage with the Original Grammy Kid.

Once on the stage, Shabba wasted no time in giving us hits after hits but it wasn’t enough for me because I wanted more of the Grammy Kid. Foundation artist U-Roy was also in the house and performed one of his songs.

The music was provided by Sting Intl. The birthday boy Sean was behind the turntables mixing it up until the wee hours of the morning.
